Fresh AI-powered checks share the same assistant budget as editor chat, cover letter improvements, and automated fixes, not a separate unlimited pool. On Free, that shared budget is 20 assistant events per billing period. On Pro, it is 200 per period. On Pay as you go, the monthly period cap does not apply to purchased packages, but each job package has a limit of 20 billable consistency check runs (alongside up to 20 AI assistant messages for that package). If you have used your AI budget, you can still run a read-only heuristic check rule-based matching without a new AI call and cached results from an earlier run do not use additional budget. Export still requires a fresh check (or an acknowledged skip) when a cover letter is present, regardless of plan.
